WHO I AM

I am the proud owner and lawyer behind the Ben Prichard Professional Corporation, located in Parry Sound, Ontario.

I practiced in Toronto for a period of time after being awarded my Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario. However, I decided to move to back to my hometown of Parry Sound to practice law as soon as the opportunity presented itself.

I attended Trent University in Peterborough for my undergraduate education where I completed a joint-major in History and Cultural Anthropology and graduated with honours. I then went on to complete a Masters of Arts at York University in Toronto. For my Master’s thesis I investigated the then emerging problem of prescription opiate abuse in rural Ontario.

It was then that I realized I wanted to become an advocate, and as such, I decided to attend the University of Western Ontario to study law. During my time at Western Law I volunteered in the school’s legal clinic and was exposed to a variety of areas of law. I was awarded the Sherrard Kuzz LLP Employment and Labour Law Research Fellowship, and later I was also awarded the Robert White International Labour Law Internship. The internship led to a position with the International Labour Organization in Geneva, Switzerland during the summer of 2011.

After graduating from Western Law I articled at Sack Goldblatt Mitchell LLP in Toronto, Ontario. Following my time at Sack Goldblatt Mitchell I practiced as a labour and employment lawyer in Toronto before deciding to move back to Parry Sound.
